Refillable Silicone Bottles FAQ

Yes, sometimes toiletries and cosmetics can react, impacting the silicone material, the fluid stored inside, or both. This is due to a reaction with silicone itself and isn't related to the specific silicone we use with our refillable travel bottles.

The primary cosmetics/ liquids that we would not recommend you store inside the bottles are:

• Cosmetics and skincare containing salicylic acid.
• Oil based hair serums and treatments.
• Silicone-based cosmetics.
• DEET-based insect repellents.
• Hydrogen peroxide, typically found in hair dyes and bleach.

Please also note that the OneNine5 travel bottles are designed for travel purposes, not long-term storage. Some toiletries/ cosmetics may change state (dry out or become less viscous) if kept in our bottles for long periods of time.

Yes, they are. Each bottle is 90ml in volume and this is detailed on the rear of the bottle too.

Each pack comes with pre-printed sticky labels that you can apply to the bottle, so it’s easy for you to determine the contents inside the silicone bottle.

We use a food grade silicone that can be cleaned in a dishwasher. Remove the cap and place your silicone travel bottles on the top shelf of the dishwasher.

Alternatively, they can be hand washed in hot soapy water too.

When you’re on the move we know that your bag and luggage can get bashed around…especially in the hands of airport baggage handlers.

To minimise the risks of exploding or leaky toiletries, we’ve added a silicone strap in the 2024 redesign. Once you’ve refilled the silicone bottle and closed the cap, take the silicone strap from the neck of the bottle, and place it underneath the lid.

Yes, these silicone bottles are equally useful in your daily routine like a gym session. If you want to reduce the weight of bulky toiletries you carry and create more space in your gym bag, our refillable silicone bottles are ideal.

Yes, you can but please note that alcohol does evaporate slowly through silicone material.

For this reason, we recommend that you store anti-bac gel/ hand sanitiser in the silicone bottles for a maximum of 2/3 weeks at a time.
