Sunset over Burrard Street Bridge in Vancouver. Connecting Granville Island and Kits Point with Yaletown

🇨🇦 Vancouver, Canada | The Essentials

1. Where to Stay? 💤

Gastown

Vancouver's oldest neighbourhood is now the place to be. It's only a short walk from Waterfront station so it's easily accessed via the YVR Airport Skytrain.

If you want to sample some of Vancouver's best restaurants, bars & brunch options, you're in the right place.

2. What to do/ see? 🗺

Hire a bike & cycle Stanley Park Seawall at Sunset

There's a whole host of bike rental companies around Denman St before you enter Stanley Park. Hire them for at least 2/3 hours so you can enjoy a leisurely pedal & stop off to enjoy the beaches and scenery along the way.

3. Where to eat? 🍽

Tacofino Taco Bar, 15 West Cordova St.

They operate on a first come, first served basis for dinner, so get down early to avoid disappointment. With a wide choice of tacos bursting with flavour and Margaritas on tap, it's the perfect place to start your Friday or Saturday night in Vancouver.

4. Where to drink? ☕

Nelson The Seagull, 315 Carrall St.

If you had one too many Margaritas the night before, then Nelson The Seagull has just the remedy for the morning after - great coffee & freshly baked bread. You'll smell this place before you see it.

5. Where to take that Instagram worthy photo? 📸

Capilano Suspension Bridge

We're cheating here because the suspension bridge is actually a 15 minute drive (if you avoid the traffic) north of Downtown Vancouver. However, if you're planning a road trip to explore more of British Columbia or Alberta then it's an essential stop off.

Over the Summer months the park gets real busy so aim to be there for 8am when it opens, if you want the bridge to yourself.
